SITE SURVEY & APPRAISAL
A specialist is typically commissioned for a detailed topographical survey. In addition, I carry out a thorough analysis of your outdoor space and fine tune the design brief with you. This stage is the foundation to the design process.
DESIGN CONCEPT
Back in the studio, I use the site survey to prepare a preliminary 2D design and mood board. They outline the overall layout of the garden, chosen theme and relationship between the planting and hard landscaping features.
DETAILED DESIGN
Once the concept is agreed, a detailed master plan is drawn with accompanying 3D renderings to help you visualise the space.
WORKING PACKAGE
A set of drawings and detailed technical instructions is collated, allowing your landscaping contractor to quote for the construction work.
PLANTING DESIGN
Plants are meticulously considered to suit your site and the desired atmosphere of the garden. A detailed plan and mood board specify the plants to be included in the garden as well as their precise location.
GARDEN CONSTRUCTION & AFTERCARE
I accompany you throughout the build by visiting the site at critical stages. I can also source the plants, assist with positioning and planting. Although I provide a plant maintenance schedule at completion, I like revisiting in the following years to take stock and advise on potential tweaks that will help the garden look its best in the long term.
