A minimalist retreat

The brief for this urban back garden was to design a modern and relaxing space, with a large patio and unique water feature. A minimalist and monochrome material palette was chosen to focus the eye and the mind. At the heart of this garden lies a custom-made shallow pool of water dotted with large concrete steppingstones. It creates a destination but also enhances the journey through the garden. The mostly green planting scheme, without distracting from the strong architecture, softens the overall look and helps create a sense of cosiness.
